"JUST THE FAQ"
(Frequently Asked Questions)
General
Q: I am adopting a puppy from another country. Can you pick them up from the airport and transport them to me?
A: We'd be happy to pick up your puppy from the airport after their international flight. However, there are a few steps you'll need to take first:
Please contact the arrival airport to understand their policies and procedures for passenger and pet pick-ups. You'll also need to coordinate with your puppy's breeder to ensure they can add us to the list of authorized individuals who can collect your pet. This type of transportation requires careful coordination, but we're here to assist you through the process.
Q: I am a breeder and I have a client that is adopting a puppy from me. Can you transport the puppy to them?
A: Yes! We are eager to partner with reputable breeders and organizations to ensure each healthy puppy is transported safely and securely to their loving new homes.
Provided both parties agree, we can arrange to deliver your puppy directly to your client. To facilitate this, we will simply need the necessary contact information, so we can coordinate the details, collect the required documentation, and complete all necessary paperwork.
If you are interested in becoming one of our partners, please contact us. We would love to meet you!
Q: I am adopting a puppy from a breeder. Can you transport my puppy to me?
A: Yes! Provided your selected breeder agrees, we'll need your contact information as well as the breeder's in order to make proper arrangements and complete the necessary paperwork.
For trusted and reputable breeders or organizations we already partner with, visit our Partners page.
Q: How early should I book my trip?
A: To ensure availability and secure the best pricing, we recommend booking your pet's transportation as early as possible:
-
General Booking: Aim to book at least 2-3 weeks ahead.
-
Long-Distance or Very Specific Dates/Times:
-
Air Travel: Book 4-6 weeks in advance.
-
Ground Transport: Book 6-8 weeks in advance.
-
Note: Booking air travel as early as possible (2 weeks minimum) allows you to take advantage of better rates. Our pricing includes all travel costs (airline ticket, pet fee, fight insurance, etc.) supplies and a nominal service charge. (Tips are accepted and appreciated)
Last-Minute Bookings: We understand emergencies and other time-sensitive situations. Last-minute bookings (within a week of pickup) can be accommodated with a possible additional priority fee.
No matter your timeline, we’re committed to making every effort to accommodate your move.
Q: Do I need a health certificate for ground transport?
A: Yes. To ensure the safe and healthy transport of your pet, we require a veterinary health certificate issued no more than 10 days prior to the first scheduled date of travel.
This USDA-mandated certificate must be completed by a licensed veterinarian using either the APHIS 7001 form or a state-issued Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI). Providing this documentation within the 10-day window allows us to confidently deliver a happy, healthy pet.
Q: How long will it take to transport my pet?
A: The time required to transport your pet depends on your location. We can typically deliver your pet the same day by air travel. However, ground transportation between the farthest points in North America can take up to 5 days, assuming favorable weather conditions and no delays.
Q: What happens if there is unfavorable weather while you are transporting my pet?
A: We closely monitor weather conditions and flight statuses to ensure a smooth, stress-free travel experience for your pet. However, weather forecasts can be inaccurate, and flight delays are sometimes unavoidable. In such cases, we work diligently to make alternative arrangements to deliver your "fur baby" to you on time and as agreed. Your pet's safety is our top priority, so we will never drive in unsafe conditions.
We pride ourselves on maintaining excellent communication and providing real-time updates, so you can have peace of mind and stay informed about our itinerary and the status of your pet.
Q: What if I am not available when you arrive?
A: It is crucial that you or an authorized representative (over the age of 18) be present when we arrive with your pet. We cannot leave your pet in anyone else's care.
Our real-time status updates and GPS locator will keep you informed of our exact arrival date, time, and location, so you have ample time to prepare for your special delivery.
While we'll do our best to accommodate any true emergencies, significant delays could result in you being responsible for the associated costs.
Q: My family has more than one pet. Can you transport them all?
A: For assistance with transporting multiple pets, please contact us. We'll need to discuss the specific pets you wish to transport, as some may require specialized expertise.
We can typically accommodate several small dogs on a flight, with the help of additional flight nannies. However, transporting a variety of pets of different sizes may be more practical using ground transportation.
Q: What if my pet has special needs or requires medical attention?
A: If your pet has special needs or requires medical attention, please inform us in advance. We will make the necessary arrangements to accommodate their needs and ensure their well-being throughout the journey.
Additionally, we are Pet First Aid Certified and utilize FirstVet, which provides access to veterinary consultations via video call. This allows us to address any immediate medical concerns or questions during transport, giving you and your pet added peace of mind.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept all major debit and credit cards through a third-party processor. For short local deliveries we accept Paypal, Venmo, and Zelle.
Ask us about our payment plan options!
Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes! We take this very seriously! We pray that nothing ever happens, but we are fully insured just in case. We hold commercial pet insurance to protect your pet in the event of accident or injury.
