Shared Ground Transport
Pawsitively Safe primarily provides private, VIP transportation for individual pets or a household of pets. However, we occasionally provide shared pet transit in certain situations, such as when delivering multiple puppies from the same litter to families along the same route.
We evaluate each shared transit request individually to determine feasibility, and proceed only with the consent of all clients involved.

How Our Packages Work:
After you submit your request for a quote, our team will reach out to discuss your specific transport needs. During this call, we’ll offer the option to add any of our supply packages to your quote. The cost of the chosen package will be added to your total.
Payment Details:

Ground Transport: 50% of the total (plus the cost of the package) is due on the reservation date, with the remaining 50% due on or before the departure/pick-up date.

Flight Transport: 100% of the total (including the package) is required upon reservation.
If you choose to add a package after your reservation has been confirmed and paid for, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please note that rush fees may apply for late additions.

Q: Will my pet travel in a kennel?
A: For shared rides, we will provide a sanitized, safety-tested hard kennel for each passenger. Alternatively, you can purchase a kennel from our recommended items page and have it with you at pick up or have it mailed to us directly.
For private rides, your pet's obedience level will determine if they can ride in a kennel or be secured with a safety tether in the backseat. If we are transporting 3 or fewer puppies from the same litter, each puppy parent can choose which option they would prefer.
Regardless of the transport method, all ground-traveling pets must wear a snug-fitting harness for safety.
Q: Who will be driving my pet(s)?
A: Pawsitively Safe is a small, family-owned pet transportation company. Your pet's driver will typically be myself or my husband.
Our primary goal is to accommodate your pet's transport needs to the fullest. However, on the rare occasion that my husband and I are unavailable, we can match you with one of our trusted partners who is closer to your pickup location or has the necessary availability. We know our drivers personally, have met them in person, and can confidently vouch for the quality of service they will provide to your family. We will always discuss these alternative arrangements with you in advance.
Q: Can I meet the transport team before the journey?
A: Yes, we encourage meeting our team before the journey to discuss any specific needs or concerns you may have about your pet's transport. In most cases, we can arrange a FaceTime meeting to answer any questions and ensure you feel comfortable with us. Depending on your location, we may also be able to arrange an in-person meeting.

A: If you need to make changes to the transport arrangement, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate changes, though adjustments may be subject to availability.

A: Yes! We offer real-time tracking with regular text and photo updates on your pet's status throughout the journey to keep you informed and reassured.
Q: How do you ensure my pet's safety during transport?
A: We prioritize your pet's safety by using well-tested, secure crates and ensuring that all vehicles are equipped to meet the highest safety standards. Our team is trained in Pet First Aid and has experience in handling a variety of pets and breeds.

A: We follow strict safety and cleanliness protocols, including providing a sanitized pet carrier for each trip. During ground transport assignments, we will never take your pet for potty breaks at dog parks or off-leash areas where they could be vulnerable to aggressive dogs or exposed to illness.
